MCRP 1st Years Get a Taste of Planning
Spring quarter studios are the first chance the MCRPers get to experience planning for a real client. This year the class has been divided in half, with one group updating a parks master plan for the City of Woodland, and the other conducting an urban corridor redesign in San Clemente, CA. The Woodland group took a trip up to the city last week to meet with Parks and Recreation staff, Parks Comissioners, and get input from the community about where improvements can be made. Over the course of the quarter, the Woodland studio will return to the city with recommendations and ideas of ways to change the parks and the programs to better reflect what the community desires. You can check out the group's work at their website.
